Servo-Tek analog speed indicating systems provide a high-sensitivity indicator, permanent-magnet industrial-type tachometer, and all related mounting hardware and accessories. Every system is assembled and calibrated to produce the highest possible accuracy in a versatile speed-measurement system.
The panel meter employs a d'Arsonval taut-band movement that provides fast response, high sensitivity, and excellent repeatability with no frictional error. Case is solvent resistant, and concave crystal minimizes the glare that so often hinders easy reading. Oval escutcheon comes standard in orange, with other colors available for quick identification of readouts on crowded control panels.
Servo-Tek analog speed indicating systems require no power source.
Each system is calibrated for accuracy of +/- 2% of full scale.
A vinyl-jacketed cable connects generator and indicator. The low-voltage signal does not require conduit. Standard cable length is 15 feet; other lengths are available on special order (and system is calibrated to the cable supplied).
All systems are temperature compensated to maintain accuracies within 0.5% of calibration at 25°C (from -25°C to +75°C).
Each system is supplied with indicators calibrated to full scale for standard ranges up to 12,000 rpm: 0-10, 100, 250, 500, 1000, 2000, 3000, 4000, 6000, 8000, 10,000, and 12,000 rpm. Scales are normally marked "RPM," but can be supplied, without extra charge, to read "0 to 100 PERCENT OF FULL SPEED" or "0 to 100 PERCENT OF CAPACITY" Special scales can be marked to customer specifications at a nominal charge.
All systems include diode protection to prevent damage to indicator.
Available on special order, these indicators allow expanded
scale readings. For example, a system reading 0-1000 rpm may be
suppressed to start reading at 50% of full scale (500 rpm), thereby
doubling the readability. Dual and multi-range indicators are
also available.
The standard panel meter offered witht the ST-926 speed indicating
system is shown here. Others are available on special order. SA-757A-2
is the standard tach generator. SA-757B-1 is supplied for low-speed
systems, with actual tach speed under 50 rpm. Other tachs are
also available.
